Presque Isle Park Elopement // Marquette, Michigan // Sydney + Alec Part II

As soon as Sydney and Alec got engaged they knew they didn’t want anything traditional for their wedding. It didn’t take them long to decide that they wanted to elope with just their sisters, brothers in law, and yours truly. These two love the outdoors and Marquette is one of their favorite places. They picked Presque Isle Park as their ceremony location. A rainy morning cleared up for the most beautiful spring day.

Alex and Sydney were so intentional about every part of their day. Photos were super important to them, so when they were choosing their airbnb they made sure it would be a beautiful and interesting backdrop for their getting ready photos. And man this place did not disappoint!

Sydney’s father passed away and this bracelet was a special gift from him. Little moments like this where she put it on right before the ceremony are the moments I love.

The way these two looked at each other when seeing each other for the first time.

After the ceremony we went down to the beach for a little charcuterie picnic and a couple drinks.

Just the cutest board ever! And so freaking delicious! The perfect non traditional cocktail hour!

Of course we needed more portraits on the beach.

Sydney and Alec have a tradition. Whenever they travel or go somewhere picturesque they strip down, set the self timer, and get a picture of their bums. So we absolutely had to keep the tradition going!

What would a UP elopement be without a first dance on the beach?

And of course we need more champagne!

Dinner at Delft in downtown Marquette was where they had their wedding dinner and it was absolutely amazing! Everything from the service, cocktails, ambiance, and of course the food was out of this world.

The marquee sign for Delft gave us the coolest old school backdrop for even more photos.

And we ended the night dancing and drinking at a local dive bar. Seriously the most perfect elopement ever.
