In Home Maternity Photos // Wisconsin Rapids, WI // Miranda + John

Miranda and John are expecting their first baby. And since it is the dead of winter, we decided the best place to take their maternity photos was in their cozy home. I shot Miranda and John’s wedding so I was super excited when they decided to have me document this next big milestone for them.

Miranda and John live in the house that used to belong to John’s grandma. So it was an extra special in home lifestyle shoot. Also I loved all the little details like the frosted and decorative windows. I think they added such a cool element to this photoshoot.

Seriously how cute are these two?! I really really love in home sessions because I think my clients get to be themselves and be comfortable in their own environment.

One of Miranda’s biggest cravings during her pregnancy has been chocolate milk. So she grabbed John’s grandma’s mug and John grabbed his best dad mug and we took a little drink break. John is sipping beer and Miranda is obviously sipping chocolate milk.

Another reason I love in home lifestyle sessions, is that I get inspired by all the new things! I loved this vintage kitchen and the wooden chairs in the dining room. I love that it tells their story and I get to shoot something new and different.
